Marvin Luethe - Artist Statement

My style and media change constantly as there are so many new things that excite me. I'm not content with a single subject matter or application. The imagery can change drastically but is always anchored in my desire to breakdown the complex elements into their most essential forms. I strive to boil down the imagery to its more elemental but still recognizable state through the manipulation of colour, shape, texture and mood.

I want the person viewing my art to experience a new emotional response to the familiar.

I have had the privilege to work with some of the most creative people in the business. I learned from them the countless ways I can express myself artistically. I love to play with acrylics and all the mediums available as it allow me to explore a world of endless possibilities.
